As part of National Poetry Month, April 2022, local non-profit Blackbird Arts Collective launched the Conway Public Poetry Project. Over fifty original submissions were received from city residents, both children and adults. A committee composed of members from Blackbird Arts Collective, Conway Public Art Committee, Hendrix College, and the Creative Institute of Central Arkansas chose twelve poems for semi-permanent installation around the city of Conway.
