Submission Guidelines
All poets must be residents of Conway, Arkansas at the time of submission.
Ages 5 – adult are welcome to submit. There will be a category for ages 5-17, and one for 18+.
50-word maximum for each piece; you may submit a maximum of 3 pieces.
Content should be suitable for all ages to view in a public setting.
By submitting, you affirm the submission is rightfully your work.
If a submission is previously published work, you are responsible for confirming your publisher’s permission for the work to be utilized by the Conway Public Poetry Project.
Artistic rights for chosen poems will remain with you as the poet; however, you give Conway Public Poetry Project and its partners the right to display and promote the work for no less than five years publicly, online, and in promotional materials. Poets will be credited for their work.
We welcome collaborative pieces, so long as all participating authors are credited and agree to the submission guidelines.

In celebration of National Poetry Month, we will be accepting submissions April 1-30, 2022.
A selection committee will review all submissions and choose a number of poems to be featured in temporary, semi-permanent, or permanent installations around the city of Conway. If you have questions regarding submissions, please email jennie@blackbirdartscollective.org.
